The weather is still mild, which makes it the perfect time to get out before the winter cold sets in. Eastham’s Windmill Weekend
Address: The Windmill Green, Route 6 Eastham
Date(s): Friday September 8th, Saturday September 9th and Sunday September 10th
Details: A fun filled weekend to celebrate Cape Cod fall festivals, the families and history of Eastham! There’s a little something for everyone, including a parade, road race, car show, local crafters and sand art contest. For a list of events, check out the schedule of events.
Harwich Family Beach Day
Address: Red River Beach, Harwich
Date(s): Saturday September 9th 11 am – 2 pm
Details: The rain date for the family beach day is Sunday, September 10th at the same time. Enjoy sand sculpture contests, face painting, games and craft projects on Red River Beach. This family friendly event is free for all ages to enjoy.
The 30th Annual Cape Cod Glass Show and Sale
Address: Cape Cod Community College (Gymnasium), West Barnstable, MA
Date(s): Saturday September 16th 10:00 to 5:00 pm & Sunday September 17th 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
Details: Browse glass collections that include art deco pieces, studio pieces, depression era and early American pattern and blown bottles. A great place to go if you are looking to add to your glass collection. The cost of this event is $7.

Annual Harwich Arts and Music Cranberry Festival
Address: Oak Street behind the Harwich Community Center
Date(s): Saturday September 16th and Sunday September 17th
Details: Thanks to the Harwich Chamber of Commerce, the fireworks display is back this year to celebrate the Annual Harwich Arts and Music Cranberry Festival! Enjoy a weekend of live music, crafts and family friendly fun at the Cape Cod fall festival. Parking is free and there will be beer and wine vendors during the music events.
Truro Treasures Weekend
Address: Various locations throughout Truro
Date(s): Saturday September 23 and Sunday September 24
Details: The Truro Treasures Weekend features an arts and crafts show, golf tournament, 5K run/walk, classic car show, dog show, silent auction and grape stomp at Truro Vineyards. Check out their website so you can see all of the events, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Celebrate Our Waters Weekend
Address: Throughout the town of Orleans
Date(s): Friday September 15th, Saturday September 16th and Sunday September 17th
Details: Over the course of the weekend, there are over 50 events to choose from to celebrate our waters. Choose from participating in a beach bonfire, the sand sculptures, natures walks, paddle boarding, along with many other activities throughout Orleans.
Cape Cod Scallop Festival
Address: Cape Cod Fairgrounds – 1220 Nathan Ellis Highway, East Falmouth
Date(s): Friday September 22th from 11 am to 9 pm, Saturday September 23th from 11 am to 9 pm, and Sunday September 24th from 11 am to 6 pm
Details: A Cape Cod celebration to honor our area’s scallop and seafood. The Cape Cod Scallop Festival will take place, rain or shine so you won’t miss out on the fun. There will be live entertainment, children’s rides and games, an arts and crafts show and car.
Fall for the Arts on Cape Cod and the Islands
Address: Towns throughout Cape Cod
Date(s): October 4th through November 1st
Details: There will be events throughout Cape Cod and the Islands to celebrate the arts through musical performances, kids art activities, lectures and guided walks. Yarmouth Seaside Festival
Address: Joshua Sears Memorial Field, 1175 Route 28 & Wood Road, South Yarmouth
Date(s): Friday October 7th, Saturday October 8th and Sunday October 9th
Details: The Yarmouth Seaside Festival is a fun filled 3 day event that features live music, rides, games, vendors, a parade and a road race. Check their website at the end of the summer for a complete list of activities and schedule of events.
Cape Cod Brew Fest
Address: The Cape Cod Fairgrounds 1220 Nathan Ellis Highway / Route 151 East Falmouth
Date(s): Saturday October 14th 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Details: The 6th Annual Cape Cod Brew Fest will host over 60 different breweries, offering over 200 different types of beer. For every ticket, a portion will benefit the Barnstable County Agricultural Society. There will be food trucks on site, and live music throughout the event.
Address: All along Main Street in Wellfleet
Date(s): Saturday October 14th and Sunday October 15th 10 am to 5 pm
Details: This event celebrating Wellfleet’s oysters, clams and fishing culture will be held in the center of town October 14th and 15th rain or shine. There is a variety of activities taking place throughout the weekend that would appeal to children and adults such as live music, demonstrations and local vendors. There is a children’s area set up with their own entertainment, face painters and crafts.
Chatham Oktoberfest Festival
Address: Kate Gould Park, Chatham
Date(s): Saturday, October 21st 12 pm to 4 pm
Details: Enjoy some traditional Oktoberfest food and drink at the Chatham Oktoberfest Festival. There will be activities for the kids and a beer garden. The Pumpkin People in the Park will be up for all to enjoy, so you can check out all of the different pumpkin people displays throughout the park.
